Caring for children between the ages of six weeks to twelve years old whose parents, because of employment away from home, cannot care for them in their own homes during the day.  
     
Providing daycare for children of unemployed parents in such situations as may seem advisable.  
     
Maintaining an office in which the business of the agency is to be conducted.  
     
Setting fees in accordance with costs of service and the applicants ability to pay for care.  
     
Organizing employee and volunteer training courses to secure efficient staff and volunteer service.  
     
Developing general community understanding and support of Child Development, Inc. and the principles of our day care and preschool services.  
     
Fostering the cooperation of other community services in maintaining appropriate daycare/preschool services.  
     
Providing consultation to individuals and organizations on general matters relating to daycare/preschool of children.  
     
Stimulating and promoting pro-social thinking and action in the community, which will improve economic and social conditions. This will include the initiation and support of the betterment of social welfare, equality of man, and principles of no-invidious discrimination and fair thinking.  
     
Ensuring that no child shall be denied services of this agency on account of race, color, creed, national origin, or sex.  
     
Providing alternative and temporary care to children who have been abused, neglected, or exploited.
